ZPL and EPL programming language compatibility means it drops straight into existing systems in retail, healthcare, warehousing and hospitality.
Operation is simple: five LED icons show printer status at a glance and a three-button interface handles settings, tasks and troubleshooting. Every model ships with USB 2.0 and a USB Host port, with optional Ethernet, Serial, and a dual wireless radio combining 802.11ac Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 4.1 — so it prints happily from iOS, Android and PC.
Zebra's OpenACCESS clamshell design makes media changes quick, minimising downtime, and the free Zebra setup app (Android and iOS, via BLE) handles configuration from a phone. The ZD421d is also ENERGY STAR certified, keeping power consumption down without compromising performance.
