The Zebra FS40 fixed industrial scanner is built to accelerate the most demanding production and logistics environments. PRZM intelligent imaging decodes challenging 1D and 2D barcodes quickly and accurately at line speed, while ManyCode mode captures every barcode in the field of view in a single pass to maximise throughput.
An optional machine vision licence adds real-time inspection and quality-control capability without new hardware, enabling error-proofing and shorter cycle times. The Zebra Aurora software platform simplifies deployment, configuration and troubleshooting, and Golden Image Compare diagnoses failed reads instantly by comparing captures against a known-good reference image.
Integration is straightforward: two Ethernet ports and nine digital I/O ports connect to PLC and host networks over industry-standard protocols including EtherNet/IP and PROFINET, with the second Ethernet port streaming images to cloud or local storage. Integrated lighting with interchangeable filters ensures reliable capture in any conditions, powered by a standard 24V DC supply with USB-C power sharing for other Zebra devices.
